Looking for the golden lining

Host to the biggest known sections of West Africa's Birimian greenstone belt, the Ivory Coast has often been touted as the region's next major development frontier for gold. Although it's shouldered the burden of gold's fall alongside its neighbours, Ivory Coast has defied regional odds and remained Ebola-free.
