Under pressure in copper country

Suppressed copper prices will continue to destabilise Zambia’s mining sector in the medium-term, although growth should pick up in mid-2016. Rising sector unemployment will likely be matched by an increase in civil commotion, particularly in the lead-up to the presidential elections in September 2016.
