Freight eats into iron ore profits

Rising pellet premiums have benefited iron ore miners, particularly Anglo

Liberum analysts Richard Knights and Ben Davis said in a research note that benchmark iron ore prices have stabilised just above the 2017 low of US$55 per tonne in June, while premiums for lump and 66% Fe concentrate have risen $8 (to $24/t) and $6 (to $16/t), respectively, over the same period.
