Gold majors ready to do business

A lot has been said of the gold industry’s return to health in the past few years, with the likes of Barrick Gold (CN:ABX), Newmont Mining (CN:NEM) and Yamana Gold (CN:AUY) deleveraging and boosting cash flow since the downturn hit. With the gold price set to bounce back, lenders willing to lend, the majors’ balance sheets repaired and their project pipelines looking sparse, the time for M&A is nigh.
