Peru: a muddy picture for mining

The new Peruvian president, Pedro Kuczynski, will almost certainly run into “a wall of opposition” when trying to implement reforms to close down illegal mining and overhaul a system under which natural resource revenues are redistributed, according to a report by political risk consultancy Verisk Maplecroft.
