Hudson goes long on leadership

At a time when exploration has become prolifically unfashionable, Michael Hudson, head of TSX-listed junior Mawson Resources, has somehow made finding ore sexy once again. For that, he's been nominated for the Mining Journal CEO of the Year award. Mawson identified regional scale gold potential at its Rompas property in Finland in 2010 and a maiden drill campaign in 2012 included an intercept of 6m grading 617g/t gold (that's not a typo). A recently announced C$3 million to C$4 million (US$2.3 to US$3 million) private placement was oversubscribed and will be used to drill-out an initial resource by mid-2016.
