Company News: African Energy Resources
Updated: 24 May 2010
African Energy controls more than 200km strike-length of prospective rocks in southern Zambia's Kariba Valley uranium province where the Company has delineated 11Mlb U3O8 in mineral resources at the Chirundu JV. Feasibility studies indicate that this could form the basis of a low-cost 8 year mining operation with production commencing as early as the first quarter of 2012. Exploration programmes in 2010 are expected to define additional resources which may extend the proposed mine life. With additional high quality projects in Zambia and Botswana, and a strong cash position, the Company is well placed to deliver strong returns to shareholders.
