Company News: Castle Peak Mining
Updated: 22 Nov 2011

Castle Peak Mining Ltd. (TSX-V: CAP) is a Canadian-based exploration and development company focused on advancing greenfields and early stage gold projects. The Company holds a strategic land package in the Ashanti belt, known as the Akorade project, which lies adjacent to several producing gold mines in Ghana, West Africa. In fact, five of the eight producers lie within 50 kilometres of Castle Peak's properties and account for more than 50 million ounces in gold reserves and resources. The Ashanti belt is known as one of the most prolific gold belts in the world with over 150 million proven ounces uncovered and current investment in excess of $2.5B USD.

The company is currently executing an aggressive Phase I exploration program on identified mineralized gold targets. Four of these targets were found to be drill ready. A total of 5,850 metres (‘m’) in 38 holes has been completed on the Apankrah, Nana, AA Veins and Dansuom targets with 1,650m remaining to be drilled, the majority of these on the Dansuom target. Highlights from the drill results to date include: 7.5m of 7.2 grams per tonne (‘g/t’) gold (‘Au’), including 2.2m of 24.3 g/t Au and 5.0m of 1.4 g/t Au from Apankrah,  16.5m of 1.1 g/t Au and 13.0m of 1.0 g/t Au from  AA Veins, and the Dansuom target has returned intercepts of 10.8m of 2.9 g/t Au and 16.5m of 0.7 g/t Au, including 6.9m of 1.6 g/t Au.

In addition, the Company has collected data and completed an airborne geophysical survey (VTEM, magnetics and radiometrics) and the preliminary interpretation shows inferred structural settings that match those of the surrounding producers. Flexures on N-S structures show similar structural and geological targets as Golden Star (HBBWassa- FatherBrown) immediately east and Adamus (Nzema) immediately west of Akorade. Cross structures on the Birimian-Tarkwaian boundary show similar structural and geological targets to those hosting Goldfields (Damang) and Anglogold-Ashanti (Obuasi and Iduapriem) mines located north of Akorade. The Company has initiated the evaluation of the high potential Birimian-Tarkwaian structural zone targeting key structural corridors now covered by our Enyinase option, the newly acquired Great Yorkshire reconnaissance license and our Dompem and POW prospecting licenses.

Castle Peak'sexperienced management team and exploration group are pleased to offer shareholders a low capital investment in a solid early stage gold portfolio.
