Castlemaine Goldfields Limited (ASX:CGT) holds significant exploration titles encompassing five substantial goldfields in Central Victoria, all having been prominent gold producers historically.
We have 100% of the Ballarat, Castlemaine, Tarnagulla, Berringa and Sebastian Goldfields,with approved Mining Leases over the key areas. This is the first time that one company has control over these fields, providing Castlemaine with many opportunities and synergies.
In particular, the Ballarat Goldfield, the second largest goldfield in Victoria with over 12 million ounces of past production, and mine infrastructure owned by Castlemaine Goldfields which is ‘ready-to-go’, offers the company a splendid opportunity to become a gold miner in the short term.
The Castlemaine Goldfield is Victoria’s third largest goldfield and has produced some 5.6 million ounces of gold.
The Berringa Goldfield is Victoria’s 9th largest primary gold producing goldfield with over 550,000 ounces of gold produced at average grade of around 8.3 g/t Au.
