The Company positions itself as an integrated provider of key commodities and strategic natural resources with particular focus in oil business. The principal activities of the Company and its subsidiaries (collectively the "Group") are in the fields of oil, aluminium, coal, import and export of commodities, manganese and iron ore.
CITIC Group (formerly China International Trust and Investment Corporation) became the majority controlling shareholder of the Company in March 2004, indirectly holding interest in the Company of over 54.0%.
