Company News: Diamondcorp
Updated: 20 Sep 2010
DiamondCorp is an AIM and JSE listed emerging diamond producer focused on the 74 per cent owned Lace project 200 kms southwest of Johannesburg. Buoyed by the recovery in rough diamond prices the company has successfully raised approximately £7.1 million through a placing. The funds will be used to complete a decline development to underground resources at Lace. In addition, DiamondCorp is exploring kimberlites at the Jwaneng South project area in Botswana where drilling and geophysical programmes have been completed. Microdiamond analysis of samples taken from the J-01 kimberlite confirms that it is diamondiferous and drilling of J-05 will commence shortly
