Heathgate Resources formed in 1990, is the owner and operator of the Beverley Uranium Mine in northern South Australia. Beverley is Australia's third uranium mine and Australia's only operating In Situ Leach mine.
Beverley is the most advanced In Situ Leach mine in the world and plays a significant role in South Australia's resource development industry, providing:
* employment opportunities;
* royalty payments to the State and Aboriginal communities; and
* fuel for greenhouse friendly power generation.
Beverley is a $100 million investment with export income of approximately $70 million per annum and rising. The company directly employs over 100 people with over 350 jobs indirectly created in the South Australian community. Royalties to State and Aboriginal communities are in the order of $3.4 million per annum along with $23 million per annum to regional and state businesses/suppliers.
