VOLTA DRILLING EXTENDS THE MINERALIZATION AT ITS GONGONDY COPPER-GOLD PORPHYRY DEPOSIT AT ITS GAOUA PROJECT IN SOUTHWESTERN BURKINA FASO

Toronto, ON – March 8, 2010 - Volta Resources Inc. ("Volta" or the "Company") (TSX:VTR) announces significant copper-gold intercepts from its 27 hole, 2,408 meter Reverse Circulation (“RC”) drilling program recently completed at the Gongondy deposit, on its 100% owned Gaoua copper-gold porphyry project in southern Burkina Faso, West Africa. Gongondy and Dienemera are two of several copper-gold porphyry targets on the Gaoua Project where sufficient drilling has been undertaken to estimate a maiden NI43-101 compliant resource comprising more than 1 million ounces of gold and 720 million pounds of copper (see Figure 1 and Table 4). The current drilling now extends the mineralization at Gongondy to the south and to the west.

VOLTA INTERSECTS 82.10 METERS AT 2.27 g/t GOLD FROM ITS KIAKA GOLD PROJECT IN BURKINA FASO

("Volta" or the "Company") (TSX: VTR) announces the drill results from the next completed section at its Kiaka Gold Project, located approximately 120 kilometres southeast of Ouagadougou, the capital city of Burkina Faso. To date, 52 holes (~8,200 meters) have been completed of a program comprising more than 150 holes (>22,000 meters). So far results have been received for 40 holes, with this news release covering the latest 9 holes, which are all located on Section 5400N.

VOLTA DRILLING CONFIRMS A NEW PORPHYRY COPPER TARGET AT ITS GAOUA PROJECT IN SOUTHWESTERN BURKINA FASO

Toronto, ON – February 26, 2010 - Volta Resources Inc. ("Volta" or the "Company") (TSX:VTR) announces that a five hole scout drilling program, recently completed on the Company’s wholly-owned Gaoua Project in southwestern Burkina Faso, has confirmed porphyry-style copper mineralization at the Boussera Target. The mineralization is similar to that encountered at the Dienemera and Gongondy copper-gold porphyry deposits on the Gaoua Project, where a maiden NI43-101 compliant resource comprising more than 1 million ounces of gold and 720 million pounds of copper have been estimated.

VOLTA REPORTS ADDITIONAL POSITIVE DRILL RESULTS FROM ITS KIAKA GOLD PROJECT IN BURKINA FASO

Toronto, ON – January 19, 2010 - Volta Resources Inc. ("Volta" or the "Company") (TSX: VTR) announced today the drill results from the next completed section at its Kiaka Gold Project, located approximately 120 kilometres southeast of Ouagadougou, the capital city of Burkina Faso. The company commenced an aggressive drilling program comprising more than 150 holes for more than 22,000 metres on November 22nd, 2009 (see Figure 1). Volta intends to complete the program by the end of April 2010 and to finalize a National Instrument 43-101 (“NI43-101”) compliant resource before the end of June 2010. To date, 17 holes have been completed, with results already received for the first 5 holes.

IFC TO INVEST UP TO $8,000,000 IN VOLTA RESOURCES

Toronto, ON – January 12, 2010 - Volta Resources Inc. ("Volta" or the "Company") (TSX:VTR) announces that it has signed a Proposal Letter with the International Finance Corporation (“IFC”), a member of the World Bank Group. Pursuant to the Proposal Letter the IFC would initially invest up to C$4 million to acquire up to 5,405,405 million Volta units (“Units”) at a price of C$0.74 per Unit. Each Unit consists of one common share of the Company and one half of a share purchase warrant. Each full share purchase warrant is exercisable into one common share of the Company at an exercise price of C$1.03 for a period of five years. The expiry date of the warrants would be accelerated if at any time during the warrant exercise period, the 15-day volume weighted average price (“VWAP”) exceeds C$1.55.

("Volta" or the "Company") (TSX: VTR) announces the results from the first 3 holes completed on it’s Kiaka Gold Project, located approximately 120 kilometres southeast of Ouagadougou, the capital city of Burkina Faso. Volta acquired the property from Randgold Resources, with the transaction being approved by shareholders on November 13th, 2009. The company commenced an aggressive drilling program comprising more than 150 holes for over 22,000 metres on November 22nd, 2009 (see Figure 1). Volta intends to complete the program by the end of April 2010 and to finalize a National Instrument 43-101 (“NI43-101”) compliant resource before the end of June 2010. To date, 9 holes have been completed.
