Whitehaven is the leading coal producer in the Gunnedah Basin and employs more than 250 people in Northwest New South Wales.The company is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange - ASX:WHC.  

We are committed to the sustainable development of our coal reserves, the safety and wellbeing of our employees and working constructively with local communities.

Whitehaven currently operates four open cut mines in the region:

    * Sunnyside
    * Tarrawonga
