Turquoise Hill says Rio's bid is too low

Rio Tinto’s unsolicited proposal to acquire the remaining 49% of Turquoise Hill which it doesn’t already own has been knocked back with a special committee of independent directors of the latter deeming the offer price of C$34 (US$26.56) per share “well below” where it should be.
