Lithium Australia has appointed experienced mining executive Mark Strizek as its manager of raw materials. The 20-year industry veteran has been in a range of leadership roles with companies focused on ‘technology metals’, at the exploration, development and financing stages.

The role sees Strizek oversee LA's global exploration portfolio and lead the company's efforts to source raw materials for application of its Sileach and LieNA processes.
Sileach is a proprietary acid digestion process for the extraction of lithium and valuable by-products from lithium micas. LieNA is a proprietary alkaline digestion process for recovery of lithium from fine spodumene.
