Black Rock can rise to the top

Hong Kong-based investor and analyst Simon Francis believes Black Rock Mining can become the next big thing in the still relatively small global graphite mining business – alongside US$270 million market-cap Syrah Resources. “I think they can become a market duopoly [outside China]”, the former top-rated metals and mining Asia analyst said in Perth this week ahead of the Paydirt Battery Minerals Conference, where Black Rock boss John de Vries was among the presenters.

de Vries started the week on a good note with Black Rock having put to bed a A$3 million capital raise, via a placement at 6.5c, to advance work on its proposed US$115 million stage-one Mahenge project...
