Access to capital major constraint on coal growth, says RBC

Canadian financing activity for coal projects has fallen off a cliff in the past decade with equity financings almost non-existent since 2012, and the only flicker of activity being mergers and acquisitions activity in the coking coal sector, RBC Capital Markets director for global mining & metals investment banking Michael Scott told an industry conference in Vancouver this week.
