AFRICAN Minerals Ltd has agreed a lease for the Pepel deep-water port and Pepel- Marampa-Tonkolili railway with the government of Sierra Leone. The lease extends for 99 years, or the economic life of the company's planned Marampa and Tonkolili iron-ore mines, and is then renewable for a further 45 years.
