Infill drilling at Conroy Gold and Natural Resources plc's Clontibret site in Co Monaghan, Ireland, has uncovered a new mineralised zone.
Clontibret, where Conroy is developing a gold mine centred on a million ounce JORC resource, is part of a 50km gold trend controlled by the company.
The new zone lies within the proposed mining area, and assays include 1.05m at 11.24g/t gold from a depth of 123m. The drilling has also confirmed increased widths of mineralisation and "good continuity" with the previously established gold zones.
Gold intersections in the latest series of drill holes (to a down-hole depth of 302m; 213m vertically), included 3.6m of 2.22g/t from 79.6m, and 9.10m of 2.87g/t from 117.7m.
The company's chairman, Professor Richard Conroy, described himself as "delighted to see the continuing good results", and described the drilling as "another important step forward in the company's plans to develop a gold mine at Clontibret".
