Paragon Diamonds Ltd, an African-focused diamond explorer and developer, has found five large stones of between 2ct and 6.3ct, sources close to the company told Mining Journal.
The white diamonds were part of the first bulk samples from the Lemphane kimberlite project in Lesotho. The AIM-listed company starting processing operations at its Lemphane bulk-sampling operation last November, four months after the start of exploration.
Lemphane is one of five known diamond-bearing kimberlite pipes within Lesotho and is located 5km from Firestone Diamonds plc’s Liqhobong project.
