Mkango renews Songwe Hill licence

Malawi has granted rare earths exploration and development company Mkango Resources (AIM: MKA) a two-year renewal of the prospecting licence for its Songwe Hill project.

The government renewed the Phalombe licence, in which Songwe Hill is situated, from January 21-2019 to January 21, 2021.

The company also holds two other exclusive prospecting licences in the country, the Thambani licence and the Chimimbe Hill licence.

Last week, Mkango reported high-grade assay results from the 10,900m diamond drill programme completed at Songwe Hill.
