Sopanen's experience is in financial management in funding in private equity and industry in Singapore and China. He joins Sotkamo from PriceWaterhouseCoopers on September 23.
Forsman has 20 years' experience in open pit and underground minining and exploration. He joins from Boliden FiinnEx, where he was responsible for exploration in Outokumpu, on October 7.
The company also chose as its metallurgist Kristian Colpaert, of Pöyry, who will begin on October 1.
"After having reached full production capacity during the ramp-up phase, it is valuable that we have been able to strengthen the silver mine's organisation while normal production starts. I warmly welcome the new members of our organization to Sotkamo Silver", said Sotkamo Silver chief executive Timo Lindborg.
Sotkamo Silver shares were trading at EUR38c on Friday on the Helsinki exchange, which is part of Nasdaq Nordic. The company's shares usually trade between 32c and 46c.
