Hochschild reports production drop in March quarter

Latin America-focused precious metals miner Hochschild saw attributable production of gold equivalent ounces fall by 9% year-on-year in the March quarter as output from the company’s Pallancata operation in Peru disappointed.

Attributable gold production amounted to 85,738oz, with volumes from Pallancata down 12% yoy, a drop the company said was driven by lower-than-expected tonnage and grades due to changing shift schedules....
