Agnico Eagle profits jump to US$189.6M

Agnico Eagle Mines has reported an 80% increase in net profit to US$189.6 million in the quarter to June 30 compared with $105.3 million in the prior year period, on sales of $966 million due to higher operating margins and lower losses in non-cash items.
