Gold reached a new, all-time, nominal high above US$1,900/oz in September. Much of the price increase in 2011 has been attributed to the burgeoning interest from investors in the face of a weak US economy, turmoil in European debt markets and heightened fears of inflation. These concerns have not gone away, and although the gold price corrected along with markets recently, most analysts remain bullish for the metal.
