AFRICA DAY 04-05-2012

Date: Friday 4th May 2012

Africa hosts amongst the best mineral deposits in the world. The continent represents 20% of the world’s land area but contains an estimated 30% of the mineral reserves (by value). This includes 40% of the gold, 60% of the diamonds and fully 90% of the world’s platinum group metals.

Many deposits remain under-developed and under-explored due to historical and political factors. Many of the the continent's 53 countries have however attracted investment with new mining codes, stable democracies and of course one of history's strongest commodity bull cycles. This investor seminar introduces some of the companies that have established successful businesses there.
