GOLD DAY 16-09-11
Date: Friday 16th September 2011
Gold reached a new, all-time, nominal high above US$1,540/oz in early May. Much of the price increase in the first four months of 2011 has been attributed to the burgeoning interest from investors in the face of a weakening US dollar, turmoil in European economies and heightened fears of inflation. These concerns have not gone away, and although the gold price weakened in mid May (along with that of most other commodities), most analysts remain bullish for the metal.
