'Business in my bones'

Ross Beaty became the latest inductee into the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame in January. The serial mining entrepreneur made his name building precious-metal miner, Pan American Silver, but has enjoyed success with multiple mining juniors over a career spanning more than 40 years – most recently as chairman of Equinox Gold. He has also campaigned for renewable energy, putting his money where his mouth is by launching Alterra Power Corp. We spoke to one of Canada’s and the industry’s finest leading into PDAC.
