US-based The Parker Bay Company says its Mining Equipment Index is at a 10-year low mark for large surface mining equipment shipments – which are at levels not seen for more than a decade – and an “overhang of surplus machines” in the market will continue to soften new-equipment purchasing for the next two years at least.
