The principal investor in a fast-growing Quebec mining technology firm says its progress during the recent substantial lull in mining-sector capital and operating expenditure is testament to an underlying shift in the market’s appetite for “digitisation” technologies. “Every other industry in the world has been transformed by technology, and I think people understand that while mining is among those to take the longest to be transformed, there is absolutely no reason why it won’t happen,” a senior executive with the investment company told Mining Journal.

It recently expanded in Brazil via its first sale in that country to Yamana Gold.
