NexGen Energy (CN:NXE) has hired former Cameco (CN:CCO) employee James Hatley as its senior vice president of project development to help move the Arrow uranium project in Saskatchewan, Canada, towards production.

NexGen is looking to develop a new high-grade uranium mine in Saskatchewan, Canada

He started his career at Placer Dome (now owned by Barrick Gold (CN:ABX)) over 25 years ago and, most recently, worked as a consultant for Saudi Aramco.

Before that, he filled a number of roles at Cameco during his 13-year stint, including the McArthur River operations' chief mine engineer and superintendent of resource development. He also became director of the operation's expansion programme.
