Sibanye-Stillwater has appointed Gem Diamonds’ non-executive chairman Harry Kenyon-Slaney as a non-executive director.

Harry Kenyon-Slaney has joined the Sibanye-Stillwater board

Kenyon-Slaney has had a mining career spanning over 34 years, with his longest tenure at Rio Tinto where he was a member of the group executive committee until 2015 and held senior roles, such as CEO of energy, CEO of diamonds and minerals, leader of the titanium dioxide business and CEO of Rio subsidiary, Energy Resources of Australia.

In addition to his chairmanship of Gem, he was appointed as a non-executive director of Petropavlovsk in November where he chairs the board's safety, sustainability and workforce committee and is a member of the audit committee.

He is also a senior advisor to McKinsey & Co.
