Autonomous vehicle software developer Oxbotica has appointed Ozgur Tohumcu as its new CEO to succeed Dr Graeme Smith, who has moved internally to the position of SVP of external affairs.

Oxbotica's revamped business strategy focuses on delivering autonomous solutions for multiple industries, of which mining is a key sector.

Tohumcu has more than 20 years' experience managing the development and implementation of complex software solutions within the automotive, smart mobility, telecoms and digital industries.

He was previously CEO of Tantalum and prior to that was responsible for Ericsson's digital and IoT business across Europe, leading major digital transformation programmes in customer experience management, network virtualisation and transformation.
