Alamos sinks on disappointing Q1 earnings

Canadian mid-tier miner Alamos Gold has reported lower than expected March-quarter headline earnings because of lower revenues, which were impacted by lower gold sales due to the timing of shipments.

The company reported adjusted profit of US$10.3 million, or 3c per share, down from $12.3 million in the same period of 2018. This came in 2c lower than average Wall Street analyst forecasts of 5c/share....
