Vale reports second consecutive quarterly loss

Brazil miner Vale SA (BZ: VALE3) has reported its second consecutive quarterly loss as it made plus-US$2 billion in writedowns related to the fatal dam collapses at Brumadinho in January and at its Samarco joint venture in 2015.
