A special feature in this week's Mining Journal celebrates Mining Journal's 175th anniversary. The publication was established in 1835, two years before Queen Victoria came to the throne. At that time, Britain was a major metals producer and its coal mines were expanding rapidly to meet the needs of the industrial revolution.
