There has hardly been an interviewee in this series that has not put ‘people’ at the top of their investment factors. A recently-formed division of Barclays Capital (BarCap; the investment banking arm of Barclays Bank plc) has, however, taken this imperative to the extreme. Perhaps uniquely, Barclays Natural Resource Investments (BNRI) targets entrepreneurs, and (in the first instance) ignores tangible assets.
