Richard Roberts, Editor-in-Chief
Richard has been in mining and finance journalism for 25 years, spending the bulk of his career in Australia but visiting and covering projects and other aspects of the industry all around the world in that time. He spent eight years developing the Australasian-focused HighGrade.net before joining Mining Journal, and prior to that oversaw Mining Journal owner Aspermont's mining publishing interests in Australia for more than a decade.
Daniel Gleeson, Editor
Daniel joined Mining Journal from Metal Bulletin where he was a senior correspondent. During his two years he looked at the iron ore and coking coal markets, stainless steel pricing, as well as, most recently, the ferrous scrap sector. Prior to Metal Bulletin, he was Assistant Editor at International Mining for two years where he covered all aspects of mining technology and equipment.
Cameron French, Senior Reporter
Cameron French has been reporting on business and mining since the beginning of the commodities super cycle in 2000. He spent 14 years at Reuters News Service focusing on Canadian miners and financial institutions. He was been down copper, uranium and diamond mines, and rode in a truck on the Tibbit to Contwoyto ice road, which supplies diamond mines in Canada's Northwest Territories.
Jaqueline Holman, Senior Reporter
Jacqueline came to Mining Journal from S&P Global Platts in London, where she was editor of International Coal. Over seven years with the company, she specialised in the thermal coal market and carried out daily price assessments and coverage of both physical and financial markets. Prior to this, she was a staff writer at Creamer Media back in her native South Africa where she covered both the mining and engineering sectors.
Alex Hamer, Reporter
Alex came to Mining Journal from the Courier newspaper in Ballarat, Australia, where he was a business journalist. This round included the Western Victorian mining and METS sectors. Previously he was based in Jakarta where he contributed to Tempo Magazine, the Jakarta Globe and the Diplomat.
Michael Quinn, Australasia Editor
Michael read maritime history at the University of Western Australia before working in the mining industry during the 1990s, primarily at a gold operation north of Kalgoorlie, and for a Boulder drilling company. A media journeyman, he has reported on the mining sector over the past 20 years for various international business publications.
