Teck sells power project

Teck Resources (CN:TECK.A) has agreed to sell its two-thirds interest in the Waneta Dam hydroelectric power facility in British Columbia to utility group, Fortis (US:FTS), for C$1.2 billion (US$877 million) in cash, which the miner says will further strengthen the balance sheet and be reinvested into the overall business.
