Platform laid for lasting success at Kibali

Success at one of Africa’s major new gold mines, in its first full year of production, would have to look a lot like this: US$350 million of earnings before interest, tax and depreciation, on $650 million of gold sales. In fact that result would be a triumph anywhere, let alone in trouble-plagued central Africa.

In the black-and-white world of corporate profits, and losses, stock yields, and returns on capital deployed, these are numbers that should define a winner, right?
