Independent streak

Some companies talk the talk, others walk the walk. Independence, which has long-stated its ambitions to be a significant Australian diversified miner, is now delivering on the rhetoric, and its strategy should probably be noted by all up and coming mining executives – if not ruefully so by the management of some of the iron ore juniors now staggering down Struggle Street.

Independence’s latest move was the acquisition this week of the world-class Nova Bollinger nickel-copper deposit via the takeover of Sirius Resources in a deal in a scrip-cash deal valued at A$1.
