India to pump $455 million into battery storage projects

India’s government plans to offer 37.6 billion rupees (US$455.2 million) in incentives to companies setting up battery storage projects, totalling 4000MWh, as part of the country’s ambition to expand its renewable energy capacity to 500GW by 2030, according to Reuters sources.
