Amerigo set to cash in on copper rise

It might not be as sexy as a big drilling program in East Africa, or mining a huge openpit. But virtually risk-free, stable copper production from a sea of tailings – with no drilling, and no digging – can be lucrative. As Amerigo Resources’ Rob Henderson was reminding a fairly muted crowd at PDAC this week.

The Vancouver-based company (CN: ARG) that listed in 2002 and was paying dividends three years later has actually been producing copper in Chile for 25 years.
