Doe Run Peru to sell La Cobriza for US$19.7M

Doe Run Peru creditors have started a sale process for the La Cobriza copper mine in Huancavelica, Peru, with a minimum price of US$19.7 million put on the asset. The sales process is due to end on October 29.

Cobriza has capacity to produce 20,000 tonnes per year of copper concentrate, which also contains silver. It suffered a run of serious incidents in 2019 including worker deaths and tailings spills.
