Codelco ends Andina strike

Chile’s state copper company Codelco has ended a three-week strike at its Andina operation after reaching a new three-year collective agreement with the SIIL and SUT unions.

Some 53% of union members voted to accept the new contract which included a bonus of 4.5 million pesos (US$5,800) and productivity bonuses despite not including a pay rise.
