Parks-Salyer raises Cactus copper resources over 6Blb

A maiden resource estimate on the Parks-Salyer porphyry copper deposit has increased the global resource of Arizona Sonoran Copper Company’s Cactus project in Arizona, USA to more than 6 billion pounds of copper, which will add to the mine like in an updated preliminary economic assessment, president and CEO George Ogilvie told Mining Journal.

Parks-Salyer has an inferred resource of 143.6 million tonnes grading 1.015% copper for 1.46Mt of contained copper, or 2.92 billion pounds, of which some 2.46Blb is leachable soluble copper.
