BTGPactual: Chile copper growth slower and more costly

With Chile poised to take advantage of the growing demand for energy transition metals such as copper and lithium, Cesar Perez, Chile strategy & basic materials analyst at BTG Pactual in Santiago, said that despite the country's geological potential and the "operating muscle" of companies like SQM, Antofagasta and Codelco, the route ahead "will not be easy - nor automatically rapid".
