Shares light up under Amur Minerals

Amur Minerals says Russian prime minister Dmitry Medvedev has approved the company's exploration and production licence at Kun-Manie, one of the largest nickel deposits in the world.

The announcement saw the shares soar 78% to about £0.18 (US$0.27) as investors welcomed the news. The licence will be valid until December 2034 and is conditional on a payment to the Russian government...
