SolGold’s majority-owned Cascabel copper-gold project in Ecuador is hot property. Even with no resource statement, some stupendous drill hits at the Alpala discovery – at least four of which are 1,000m-plus intersections with grades above 1% Cu-equivalent – have seen the likes of Newcrest Mining, Guyana Goldfields and BHP Billiton come a calling.
